Patient Rights & Records

Access, correction, consent and medical-record principles.

Version 1.0Effective 2026-09-01Last updated 2026-09-01 03:29:34
Patients should be treated with dignity, privacy and respect and should receive information needed to make informed decisions about care.

Subject to applicable law, patients may have rights to access or obtain copies of records, request correction of inaccurate demographic information, ask questions about care, withdraw certain consents and raise concerns or complaints.

Clinical records may need to be retained for minimum periods required by healthcare law and cannot always be deleted on request. The operator should publish the jurisdiction-specific rights, complaint route and retention schedule before launch.
Important: Healthcare, privacy, consumer and prescribing requirements vary by jurisdiction. BookYourMeds must have its published legal framework reviewed for the launch jurisdiction before handling real patient data or providing commercial healthcare services.
